Our client Joan Veratti started her limoncello business as the first female distiller in the United States. Each product contains no more than five locally-sourced ingredients, including water, sugar, pure grain alcohol and various fruits or chocolates. Over the last eight years Joan has perfected her recipes and is working to expand her line of Liqueurs to included 18 water-based and cream-based flavors.

Silvia Paulino immigrant from the DR in in the late 90’s, bringing with her a rich heritage and entrepreneurial spirit. When she moved down to Philadelphia in 2002, she opened Silvia’s Bakery at 2846 N FRONT STREET to share her delicious Dominican and American pastries with her community. Now, Silvia operates a successful business, distributing bread to 30+ bodegas in the Philadelphia area and providing custom cakes and pastries to loyal clients. Silvia’s daughter, who graduates from culinary school, works at the bakery and it has become a family operation.
