FINANTA Overview

FINANTA is a non-profit 501(c) (3) community lender facilitating access to capital and technical assistance to consumers purchasing a home for the first-time or establishing consumer credit and entrepreneurs doing business.  Technical assistance focuses on financial education and credit building.  FINANTA is certified as a U.S. Small Business Administration Microloan Intermediary, a U.S. Treasury Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), and a Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency Homeownership Lender.

Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Vice President of Microlending to ensure the smooth functioning of the Microlending Department. This position includes various administrative tasks including but not limited to filing, scheduling, and record keeping. The Administrative Assistant will work part-time, 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities and Duties


  • Compile borrower documents from Lenders and keep a running checklist of documents received and documents pending information
  • Input borrower information in FINANTA’s data management System “TEA” and update as necessary
  • Assist lenders in compiling financial information, including credit, budget, bank statement, tax return and financial analysis
  • Assist lenders in preparing documents for meetings and client’s workshops
  • Prepare FINANTA’s binder per client and maintain a filing system for each client’s file
  • Input new loan information in Small Business Administration’s (SBA-MPERS) website as well as FINANTA’s data management System “TEA”
  • Input client’s contact information into FINANTA’s texting database (Texting Base)
  • Conduct post-closing audits of each client’s file, and communicate to lenders any missing information from client’s file
  • Compile borrower documents and keep a running checklist of documents received and documents pending
  • Assist lenders in obtaining borrower documents during meetings and workshops
  • Provide Accounting department with client’s  payment information and prepare necessary documents to schedule client’s loan payments: ACH authorization, voided check, ID for each borrower, as well as a copy of the signed credit memo and amortization table(s)
  • Maintain accurate log of client’s attendance at each workshop and enter data into FINANTA’s data management System “TEA”
  • Pull Credit report from TRANSUNION, record information, print and store a copy of each credit report in each borrower’s file
  • Contribute to all programs goals and objectives
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office & TEA loan servicing software
  • Organized and detail oriented
